REVIEW: Seven Years by Dannika Dark

Seven Years by Dannika Dark

Seven years ago, my world ended.
Seven years later, my new life began.

It's been seven years since Lexi Knight lost her brother in a tragic accident. On the anniversary of his death, her brother's best friend shows up unexpectedly - a man she hasn't seen since the funeral. He is no longer the boy Lexi once knew, but a dangerous-looking man with tattoos and dark secrets. He broke her trust and abandoned her family, yet what he reveals makes it impossible to stay angry. Lexi has been secretly infatuated with Austin since childhood, so finding out he's a Shifter just makes him sexier. Dammit.

Austin Cole has returned to the city where he grew up, and just in time. He's lived a hard life these past seven years, and the shadows of his past are threatening to destroy Lexi's family. It's time that she learned the truth about her brother, but there is a shocking twist that Austin never saw coming. Now he must protect her family when her mother and sister wind up in mortal danger. Will Lexi learn to accept the truth about who he is, and can Austin salvage a relationship from the ruins of their past?

I received an E-ARC copy of this book from the author through Enchantress of Books Blog Tours in exchange for an honest review...

Its like... whoa!! Twists and turns and keeps you guessing and then you think you know and BAM another twist and such a strong powerful love!! OMG!
Having read books 1-4 of the Mageri series, there was already a strong set of pre-determined expectations of what was to come from a Dannika Dark Novel! BOY OH BOY!! It was all that and more!! Lexi (Alexis) is a young girl (Just under 30) who lost her older brother Seven Years ago (hint hint on the name of the book..? lol dur..) When Austin Cole (Late Brother's BEST friend) waltzes back into town after being absent for the past seven years, Lexi's old memories come crashing down on her emotions. Lexi had a crush on Austin back in the day... and I mean... really? What younger sister DIDN'T have a crush on their big brother's best friend when they were growing up?!?! lol

Anywho... Lexi learns a LOT more than she ever thought possible including secrets about herself she never saw coming!!

I love how Dannika trickles you down a little info at a time throughout the story. She only gives you EXACTLY as much information as you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE to understand the scene in place. The twists and turns and downright shocking moments throughout this book will have you HOOKED from page ONE! I cannot wait to get to read Book Two in this series "Six Months".

I give this Book 5 out of 5 shields!!
