COVER REVEAL: Bleu Balls by Tara Lain

Bleu Balls
(Balls to the Wall Series #7)
By Tara Lain

Blurb:
Double trouble. The McMillan twins, Robin and Bobby, are renowned for their talents—both as fine artists and for thrilling the various men who catch their eyes. As different in style and personality as their DNA is identical, they’re nonetheless best friends who divide and conquer, with Robin doing the serious painting and Bobby adding the sunny salesmanship.

But when their most important client decides Bobby must wield the paintbrush, the brothers revert to childhood tactics and switch places. Then along comes Micah, a handsome doctor who’s attracted to Bobby but invites Robin out to try to please his homophobic brother, and Paolo, the pain-in-the-butt client who thinks he’s wooing Bobby when he’s actually after Robin. Paolo harbors his own hidden pain that weirdly intersects with Robin’s, but pride and privacy conspire to produce what will either be a masterpiece—or end up as Dogs Playing Poker.

“Poor dear. You do look like you feel awful. Dr. Brown will be right in.” Her head popped out and the door closed.

Good old Dr. Brown had been his and Robin’s doctor for two years. The guy was probably in his seventies, but they both liked that nothing really fazed him. Bobby had even come in when his butthole got irritated after one particularly wild weekend, and Dr. B. had just given him some liquid lavender to drop into a carrier oil. He’d been better in a couple of days and back up to his old tricks. In fact, they both used the lavender mixture now before they had sex. Sex. Jeez, even that didn’t sound good to him, and that never happened.

He flopped over on his side with his legs still hanging off the table and closed his eyes. Death warmed over. Drifting felt good. He needed to get better and call Valerie. Had to know if they got the commission. But not right now.

He sighed.

“Did you die while waiting for me?”

The voice didn’t sound like Dr. B.’s up-from-the-projects drawl at all. Slowly Bobby opened his eyes and caught a glimpse of the prettiest thing he’d ever seen. He sat up fast, got light-headed, and fell back onto the table, closing his eyes against the suddenly blinding light.

“Oh dear.” Two strong hands gripped his feet and slid them up where a table extension magically appeared.

“Sorry. Sat up too fast.” Bobby flopped an arm over his eyes.

“Just lie still.” Deep, warm, and distinctly cultured, like ivy grew all over his voice.

Bobby breathed, then slowly lifted his arm and opened his eyes. “Uh, you’re not Dr. Brown.”

“Ah, but I am.” The man—who couldn’t be more than twentysomething and clearly modeled for Jay-Z in his spare time—grinned, and craterous dimples appeared in what were otherwise lean cheeks. “I’m simply not the Dr. Brown you were expecting.”

Bobby let out a long sigh and sat up. “You sure aren’t.” His gaze clung to that startling face, all shiny skin, short-clipped black hair, and most startling of all, light hazel eyes.

“I’m Micah Brown. The Dr. Brown you were expecting is my father, and he’s cutting back his practice time and letting me take over some of his workload. Hope you don’t mind.” He pulled the afghan down and placed his stethoscope against Bobby’s back. “Breathe.”

Bobby inhaled, coughed, then tried to smile, though every move hurt his head. “Sorry. Just assure me you actually have a license and don’t just play a doctor on TV.”

Brown laughed, a deep rumbly sound Bobby wanted to hear through that stethoscope. “Breathe.”

Bobby inhaled and exhaled, trying desperately not to cough.

“Yep, I’ve got a degree or two and even belong to the AMA.” He hooked the device around his neck and started feeling Bobby’s upper chest with cool, gentle fingers.

Oh my. Earlier, sex hadn’t even interested Bobby. Now? Well, he might make an exception in the case of Dr. Micah Brown. Dear God, the doc was so close, Bobby could lick him. Of course, that might not be covered by his PPO.

Blurb:

Player vs. Player. Fight!

Brilliant graphic designer Ravi Tandel is ahead of the game—he's just been asked to present a top secret project at a huge conference in Seattle. All systems are go…until he learns his buttoned-up office nemesis is coming along for the ride.

Tristan Jones isn't really the gamer type, but he knows the back end of the video game business inside out. Together, he and Ravi will give an awesome presentation. If they survive the cross-country trip first.

Tossed together in close quarters, Ravi's shocked to see Tristan's sexy, softer side emerge from such a conservative shell. He's less shocked to learn his handsome colleague's prominent family would never support an out-and-proud son. But Ravi didn't struggle through his own coming out to hide who he is now. To be together, Tristan will have to push past his fear and ultimately decide: Does he want a future with Ravi? Or is it game over before they've even begun?

A sexy first kiss excerpt from Beta Test by Annabeth Albert
*****
Knock. Knock. A knock came from the connecting door, startling Ravi into hopping off the bed.
“Tristan?” he called before unlocking the door.
“Yeah,” came the muffled reply.
“What’s up?” As he opened the door, he realized that he didn’t even have a shirt on. After his shower, he’d pulled on a pair of Star Wars lounge pants that Avani had given him on his last birthday. He wasn’t a modest guy, but this was a bit…exposed for a late-night encounter.
“Um. Not much.” Tristan stood there in ridiculous blue plaid pajamas and bare feet, hair still damp and sticking up at weird angles. The overall effect should have been one of Tristan escaping from whatever retirement compound Elmer called home, but instead Ravi found it endearing.
You’re so screwed, man.
“Not much?” Ravi raised an eyebrow. “But you knocked?”
“Um. Yeah.” Tristan scratched his neck and shuffled one foot. “My room stinks.”
“Your room stinks?” Ravi had to stop himself from laughing. As far as pretexts went, that was pretty darn lame, high-school-campout-worthy stuff.
“It really does.” Tristan gestured, and Ravi followed him in and took a deep sniff. Yeah, the room did smell pretty funky.
“O-kay.” Ravi drew the word out. “Why don’t you call the front desk? This is a pretty big place, and it’s the middle of the week. I’m sure they can find you a different room.”
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to bother you.” Tristan did the shuffle thing with his foot again. “Never mind.”
“Tris.” Ravi grabbed Tristan’s shoulders when he tried to turn away, forced him to look at him. “What’s really up?”
“Nothing. I was thinking we could watch a movie in your room, but you’re right, I should call for a new room.”
“That’s what you want? To hang out with me?” Ravi took a step forward, not dropping his hands from Tristan’s shoulders. He could feel his warmth even through the soft blue cotton. Their bodies were mere inches apart now. Tristan’s gaze went straight to Ravi’s mouth before he licked his own lips.
Oh fuck. Killing me, Tris, you really are.
“I’ve got a movie on,” Ravi said softly, making no move toward his room or to step away from Tristan. There were a thousand reasons why he needed to step away, get Tristan to call for a new room, and stop the energy arcing between them, yet he couldn’t seem to find the one that would get his feet to move.
“Yeah.” Tristan’s exhale ghosted across Ravi’s face. His eyes continued to look as though they had a tractor beam on Ravi’s mouth. “That’s good.”
“I’ve got no clue what the movie is.” Ravi laughed shakily.
“That’s okay.” Tristan moved, subtly leaning forward before retreating a millimeter, like he wasn’t quite sure how to close the gap between them.
Ravi knew, but there were a whole host of reasons why he should retreat and lock the door behind him, put a hotel’s worth of distance between himself and temptation. But he didn’t move back, instead doing what Tristan was shuffling toward and closed the distance between them, claiming Tristan’s mouth like he’d been obsessing about for two days now.
Okay, okay, perhaps a bit longer than that, if he were honest with himself. Tristan was fussy and prissy and so not Ravi’s type, except he was cute and endearing and eager to please and…
Oh fuck it. They were so doing this thing.
Ravi’s lips slid softly over Tristan’s, hands coming up to cup Tristan’s face. His skin was smooth and slightly slippery, as if he’d shaved earlier. Tristan gave a little sigh as their lips collided, a happy noise that went straight to Ravi’s dick. Tristan tasted like a minty memory from Ravi’s teen years, a simple, classic taste that totally fit with the rest of Tristan’s persona.
And the way they fit together felt like a different kind of memory—like they’d done this before and yet never before in the same instant. Brand-new and achingly familiar. And far, far too sweet for Ravi’s blood.

Top 3 Gay Wedding Destinations in the US

Hi, everyone! I’m Jacob Z. Flores, and I’m so glad to be here at Bookworm Bridgette’s World to promote my recent release Undercover Boyfriend, the first book in my One Fine Day series.

As some of you may have heard, each book in this series will feature a marriage/wedding as the theme that ties all the books together. Each book will truly be a standalone, consisting of an entirely different set of characters, situations, and obstacles.

Scroll up a bit and read the blurb for Undercover Boyfriend, so you can get a feel for what this book in the series will be about.

Okay... read it? Back now? ....Perfect...

So since each of the books will highlight a wedding as its common thread, I figured it might be fun to discuss weddings in general, particularly the best locations in the US for same-sex couples to tie the knot.

Now before we get started, I want everyone to know that the locales I’ve chosen are based on my personal experiences, not on any travel research I’ve conducted. These places are, to me, the ideal spots for two men or women in love to start their lives together as a married couple.

Which cities made the list and why? Well, let’s get started so we can find out.

#3—Hawaii

Who wouldn’t want to get married in this tropical paradise? Hawaii has beautiful beaches, blue, sparkling oceans, rugged volcanoes, and lush scenery that would make an excellent backdrop for any wedding. Plus, Maui and Oahu have been popular gay destinations for years. There are tons to do from clubbing to bars to snorkeling. It’s a wedding/honeymoon destination rolled into one. Most importantly, though, there are so many private and remote parts of the island that a loving couple could start their honeymoon just about anywhere.

#2—Provincetown, Massachusetts

Provincetown is perhaps one of the best places in the world. During the summer, the town fills up with gay men and women, who flock to the tip of the Cape to enjoy the quaint destination. It’s also probably one of the friendliest gay locales I’ve ever visited. There’s tons to do like strolling Commercial Street and visiting the many shops, going on a whale tour, stopping for drinks at the daily Tea Dance, eating at the many wonderful restaurants, or taking in one of the many shows. The town also has a rich history that’s fun to explore.

All of those reasons make Provincetown one of the best places for a gay wedding. It also happens to be where I met the man I fell in love with, so yeah, it’s like the best place ever!

#1—San Diego

So how did a southern California city beat out Hawaii, a tropical paradise, and Provincetown, the gayest place on Earth? Well, first of all, San Diego is a beautiful city. The gorgeous Balboa Park would be a perfect backdrop for a wedding. For those who enjoy beachfront weddings, there’s Seaport Village and the historic Hotel Del Coronado. San Diego also has a wonderful gay neighborhood in Hillcrest, all of which make San Diego a great place for a gay wedding.

There’s also one more reason that makes San Diego a great place to get married. The man I love just happens to live there!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my top 3 best gay wedding destinations list. Sure, the list might have been a tad biased (and maybe some not so subtle hints for my boyfriend), but if you’ve never been to any of these places, grab your loved one and hop on a plane. You’ll see how right I am.

“My God. Were you always this much of a fucking asshole?”

“Whoa!” Christian threw up his hands as if he had no clue he was being a fuckwad. “Why the name-calling? I just called you cute.”

“He is cute. Isn’t he?”

Tim suddenly appeared at Marty’s side. He slid his hand around Marty’s waist and pulled him close. “I know I thought so from the first moment I laid eyes on him over the punch bowl.”

Marty opened his mouth to speak, but surprise had stolen his voice. Did Tim really think he was cute? No, that couldn’t be true. It was part of the act. It had to be.

Christian’s nostrils flared. “So, Jim. How long are you in San Antonio for?”

“It’s Tim,” Tim replied with one arched eyebrow. He pulled Marty closer and locked gazes with Christian. Why did Marty suddenly feel as if this was going to turn into a pissing match? “And I’ll be here until after the wedding.”

Christian nodded as if he expected that answer. “Well, I’m glad you could finally make it. I was starting to wonder if you even existed.” He dragged his gaze from Tim to Marty, and a knowing grin suddenly materialized. Did Christian suspect this was a ruse?

“Oh, I’m real,” Tim replied. “Just busy.”

“Ah yes.” Christian nodded. “I’m sure prancing around in your underwear is a tough gig. I know it wears me out whenever I come home from the courthouse and walk around half-naked in my Calvin Kleins.”

“Calvin Klein makes a good pair of underwear,” Tim said. “But they’re not for me.”

“Too stylish?” Christian asked, brushing a stray piece of lint from his sleeve.

Tim shook his head. “Too small for my junk.”

Marty snorted while Christian bared his teeth.

“Come on, babe,” Tim said, looking down at Marty with wide, adoring eyes. “Let’s find a place to sit. It’s almost time to eat.”

Marty nodded. He didn’t dare try to speak. If he did, he’d bust out in laughter.
